Biography/History: Sothe was born in the Plains of the Fire portal. It was a hot, desolate farm, where his parents had barely enough to feed the child. In their desperation, they child the young child into slavery. His golden eyes attracted a fair number Nobles, and finally, a hard-hearted Noble bought the child after alot of pleading from his curious little daughter. Sothe was six when he sold. The Noble's mansion was the worst possible place for a slave like Sothe. While the daughter was surprisingly light-hearted, the mater himself had a heart of steel. He put Sothe to the same back-breaking tasks as the rest of the servants. Only, nobody cared about the young man with hawk-like eyes. Over time, Sothe felt like telling the man's daughter the truth about her father. They grew closer and closer, day by day. Sothe was almost like her best friend. But thing's quickly changed. One day, the master was assassinated.
Sothe nearly fought the Assassin, but he/she escaped. Almost immediately, the house and its good name was diminished, now an empty splendor of what it was, years ago. The servants slowly left. But Sothe, being ever so curious, decided to continuously explore. The late Noble's own daughter sometimes even accompanied him.
That was when Sothe was 8. By the time Sothe was 9, even the Mistress was forced to leave. Sothe sincerely hoped she went on to have a better future. But Sothe, on the other hand, had found treasure-hunting to be his passion. Though, mind you, Sothe was sincerely underfed, and he hadn't grown too tall. He decided to leave the Mansion with the last of the servants, and to find a place where he could live his passion to the fullest. That was how he found the Cave-crawlers. They are hunters of treasures of all sorts, that explore the mountains of the Fire Lands. But the best mountains, the ones that have been left untouched are the three volcanoes. The only way to cross the Lava fields is with a lot skill and good sense. That's where Sothe came in handy. He was the planner, who determined to the best places to land when plain hopping. Basically, you hopped the flows of Lava with a large pole, using it to bridge your jump across without too much trouble. The Cave Crawlers were a specialized treasure-hunting group which had met with minimal success. It kept on losing members to the pole-jumps. Sothe was an expert in trajectory, and predictions. He loved studying the way things would land. Sothe was a really useful kid to have around- he could read several different languages, he could wield a knife to kill off anything that still walked down there- and he was willing to give anything to find that treasure. Even his own hand. The story of Sothe's hand is a sad one to say the least. He was part of a three-man group, composing of a masked architect, interested in ancient art, and buildings, and his assistant. They weren't really part of the group at that time- They'd simply hired Sothe to take them down through the ruins to explore and record the history of the place and the artifacts inside of it. Little did the two newbies know, that they'd set off hundreds of traps, all correlating to a very central location: The treasure room.
If the Fire lands had one thing, it was Lava. So it only made sense to make the best traps in a volcano lava-based, right? Sothe always knew the best ruins had traps. He loved to work them. But he had no clue that the people he was practically dragging along would set off the biggest one of all. When the group finally reached to the treasure room, the assistant was the first to run to the trove. Sothe, in his feeling of victory failed to notice the trap. But when he did, he sprung into action. The Assistant was pushed forward as a pillar of lava coursed down from the ceiling. A last gift from the Ancients the Assistant was so fascinated with. Sothe's hand was melted right off.
Sothe was considered a goner- two hands were essential for the traveler's path. The archaeologist and his assistant were deeply affected by Sothe's sacrifice. While they tried to promise to do something for him, equal in worth to his hand. But no one can put a price on a hand. It was not a great idea to make false, empty promises. Sothe thought his fate was decided. But he still explored, he still lava hopped. He still fought against his destiny. Sothe One-hand was 14.
Then, on Sothe's 15th birthday, the archaeologist and assistant appeared again, claiming to have found an answer to Sothe's hand crisis. By this time, Sothe didn't care much, but finally agreed to look into it after the pair unceasingly begged him to. So the group ventured off again. It turned out to be the best birthday of all.
By this time, Sothe was far more experienced. Daemons fell easy prey to his quick, one-handed knife dashes. The archaeologist proved himself just as useful with his lance, along with his Assistant, who used her own shortsword to take out everything. Monsters practically flooded the new site. Sothe would later say to himself, it was easier that way. He didn't have to think.
Then they came to the place that set the ruin apart from all others- the Dragon Grave. It was a common rumor in the Fire Lands that dragons were the source of all fire. Draconic Cults were a common nuisance to the government. But to look at the beauty of the dead beasts was far more heart-breaking than hearing the delusions of Grandeur that the stories had brought to Sothe's mind. He never actually expected to actually find something, though. In the Rib cage of the least rotted Dragon, there laid a glove, of some sort, a large ruby embedded into it. It was a charm. But of course, Sothe didn't even consider the thought. He felt the urge to place it over his missing hand, a strange impulse, kind of nudging him forward to do it. He picked it up gingerly and placed it on his arm stump. Immediately, Sothe was blinded with pain. It was as if his nerves were reattaching themselves, sending lightning shocks up his arm. A black curtain fell over his eyes.
My power I give to you.
When Sothe woke up, those were the words he heard. His left hand was back, a fire burning in its heart. He was now a charmholder.
And he now travels the world, wondering what to do with it.

Robyn was ecstatic to find out that she was indeed a Charmholder. She'd never thought it could happen to someone like her.
When he spoke of the view, she cracked a grin. "Well...have you seen it?" She didn't think he had and stood, grabbing his arm and pulling him toward the balcony. "It makes some people sick, but don't vomit or you'll hit the nuns," she teased, then stopped to think. "Actually, maybe you should aim for the nuns."
Robyn tied her Charm about her neck and grabbed her glider before stepping out into the strong winds, the breeze circulating ever-higher. She leaned out over the edge and reached for a cloud, knowing she wouldn't be able to touch it. "Have you ever glided before?" she asked, turning briefly to look back at him before leaning out further, her feet rising up off the ground for a moment. "It's so like flying...that sometimes I forget I'm not a bird." She laughed sheepishly. "Sorry, that sounds stupid. But it's true."

Ziek rubbed the back of his head as he watched her. Apparently she didn't think much of his small show and that made him feel even more like an idiot. He sighed softly and allowed himself to forget the past mistake. He glanced up as he heard her say his name and his smile returned. "Its nice to meet you Robyn and what do you mean you think that you're a Charmholder?"he asked. But before he got his answer he was trapped in a whirlwind.
For the split second that he was stuck in the meeting of cold and hot winds he was unable to breath because of the pressure within. But as quickly as it came it disappeared and the only evidence that it was there were the pages that were thrown about. Ziek was fin and was able to hide the fact that he was unable to breath while he was in the whirlwind. He chuckled as he walked closer to her."Robyn...Why the hell do you "think" you are a Charmholder?"he asked his voice emphasized the "think".
"Normal people cannot control the wind." he said as he smiled at her and then looked at the pages that were scattered about. "You're a Charmholder."he said as he walked over to the desk and leaned against it. He froze up when she began to talk about people not being aloud in the tower."Oh yeah about that." he said as he rubbed the back of his head."Well I wanted to see the view from the top of the tower and so I kinda snuck into this place and...Yeah." he said as he stood straight up and rubbed the back of his neck.

Harra's eyes widened beneath the veil of her hair. "That is not your business!" she barked acidly and the water began to swirl angrily about her hand.
She despised being questioned of her motives, but forced calm upon herself. "Forgive me," she said with some difficulty. "I...have business there. That is all."
She turned away so that Astoria wouldn't be able to see the rage burning her face. Still, Harra couldn't allow her to know that she intended to kill her niece's beloved father. Not until the deed was to be done.

Robyn watched him with a look of awe that turned into a mischeivous grin. She could tell that he was showing off and tried her best to look uninterested when all she really wanted to do was jump up and down like a four-year-old and demand that he did it again.
She realized her hands were still held to her chest and she unfolded them to reveal the little necklace. On her palms were the indentations of the simple little stone. "Ziek," she said his name as if testing it.
Then she closed her hand around the necklace again. "My name's Robyn. I...think I'm a Charmholder too..." She looked up at him, focusing more on the air between them. Again, she tested it, making the air around him come to life and entrapping him for a moment in a whirlwind. She did it with a certain amount of question. Her life had been so monitored that she really wasn't sure what a Charmer was, and wanted him to tell her if that was indeed what she was. "What are you doing here? I didn't think foreigners were allowed in the tower."

Ziek looked where she was looking and noticed that she was looking over his appearance. He slapped his head as he remembered that he was still wearing the cloths from the fire plain that his mother had made for him. Of course even then his clothes were a little different.
He wore a hooded shirt covered in things his mother called zippers. They covered his arms, chest, and back. The shirt itself was a kind of black color with crimson markings covering it. His pants were nothing special and he wore boots like everyone else on the fire plain.
"My names is Ziek," he said as he bowed deeply and then snapped his ringer fingers and they produced a spark. The spark grew until it circled around his arms like a serpent and then turned into a ball in his other hand. he threw it up in the air and before it touched his head he lifted his chin and ate the fire. "And yes I am a Fire Charmer from the Fire Plain."
He knew that little display was pointless he just wanted her to see that he was in fact the one who had scarred away the monk, and also showing her that he was not a novice with his art and that he would use his abilities to stop her if she intended to reveal that he was in the tower.
He stopped when he realized that she wouldn't do that because she had been hiding up here also. He laughed nervously and rubbed the back of his head. "Um whats your name?" he asked feeling a little stupid for showing off the way he did.

Robyn was beginning to fear that the nuns would lock her away for her deeds when she heard a strange roar. She gasped and was very still, her eyes wide in fear. She had never heard such a sound.
After a moment of feeling her frantic heart slam against the wall of her chest, she peeked again around the desk to face the creature.
Robyn blinked, seeing that not only was there no monster, but the monk had disappeared and the door had been closed. Had it all been her imagination? But it had been so vivid...
And then she saw the melted lock.
She spun back around and prepared to snatch her glider and flee. A scream caught in her throat as a boy around her age was suddenly in front of her. Had he been the one to make that terrifying sound?
Then he spoke, and her shocked stare became curious. "Hello. Who...are you?" Many foreigners were said to come to the cathedral, but the girls were kept far away from them. She suddenly became very interested in his strange style of dress and appearance, and her eyes brightened. "Are you from the fire plain?!"

Ziek crawled around the tower carefully as he attempted to make it to the top. Only minutes ago he had been outside staring at the tower until his curiosity got the better of him and he just had to make his way up to the tower. He wanted to reach the top and be able to look over the edge and see the earth beneath him. Oh what a rush it would be to be able to see the world through the eyes of a bird. He chuckled slightly as a small desire to be a Wind Charmholder came over him. No he would never want to be anything but a Fire Charmholder. No matter how much pain it had caused him. Fire was a part of him in many senses. He shook his head as he cleared the thoughts he had once had only minutes away from him and the desire to make it to the top caused him to sneak through the tower to make it to the top.
He was still on the first level and he casually made his way around the inhabitants of the tower and made his way to the stairs. He snapped the fingers with the special rings on them and created a spark. Soon the spark grew into a fire ball and he grasped it in his hand making sure that he was ready in case he need to escape. He wouldn't throw it at any one he would just make a distraction so he could get away. Ziek grinned as he looked at the fire.
It was almost like a friendly face to him. He turned his head from the fire and he made his way up the stairs and onto the next floor. He made his way up the tower dodging behind walls and keeping away from those who were in the tower. He was practically half way up the tower before he was almost caught. A monk with a shaved head caught a glimpse of him. With out thinking he jumped from a window and sank his burning hot fingers into the wall. They melted the stone and he hung there for a few moments. After hanging outside a window for several moments he pulled himself up and then looked around.
The coast was clear and he hoped back into the building and made his way back up. to the top of the tower. He was close to the top of the tower until he saw a monk. He froze and looked around wondering what he could do to make him move. He looked at his fingers and grimaced. He heated his hand again and made his way up the wall. he freed on hand and then snapped his fingers making another spark. The spark grew and stood in front of the monk. It formed into the shape of a large beast and with another well placed explosion Ziek made a simulated roar.
The monk covered his mouth and then made his way down the tower quickly. Ziek jumped down and extinguished his beast and ran into the room. He glanced around and and then closed the door shut. He created another burst of flames and melted the lock shut. He then sighed as he looked for something to block the door with. He saw a desk and walked over to it. He grabbed onto it and began to make it budge before he saw the something that looked like a shoulder.
Ziek tilted his head and then leaped over the desk his chest resting on the edge his feet in the air. He looked at the girl who was close to his age and he smiled at her. "Hi." he said as he figured she was in the same boat he was in. Why else would she be hiding?
